The hotel had been closed over six-months during the reconstruction. The important historic detail of the original architecture was carefully preserved, such as the typical Florentine charcoal hand-crafted walls, refurbished stone surfaces, and decorative arches. At the same time the building was brought up to code with state-of-the-art safety and fire-alert technology as well as high speed internet wireless access, printing, and faxing.
