Located in an exclusive environment, deliberately hidden inside a quarry of white calcarenite
stone -one of the most famous historic Mediterranean stones-, dug in the 60s,
the elegant and modern Cave Bianche Hotel offers a stay characterized by comfort and relax.
In this habitat created by the hard work of the quarrymen, protected by
imposing stone walls, you can enjoy the ''slow life'' in all possible forms, savoring every moment of
the day, with the pleasure of getting lost in a landscape, in a conversation, gaining
again the taste of what you eat and what you drink.
Everything has been made with natural and ecological materials, so to ensure
a high quality of life, without concessions to invasive technologies, choosing
a minimalist and functional design, with particular attention to water and energy saving.
The Hotel is a few hundred meters far from the Cala Azzurra beach and less than two chilometers
far from the town.

Cave Bianche Hotel is located in Favignana, one of the small islands of the Egadi's
archipelago -Western Sicily-.
Favignana is characterized by beaches and bays which are really evocative: among them
there are Cala Azzurra -Blue Bay-, a small sandy bay; Cala Rossa -Red
Bay-, a small rocky bay; and the large sandy beach of the Lido Burrone.
Favignana is also characterized by beautiful grottos, like the Grotta Azzurra -Blue
Grotto-, so named thanks to the blue colour of its sea-water; the Grotta
degli Innamorati -The Lovers' Cove-, for the presence of two identical rocks;
finally, the Grotta dei Sospiri -The Cove of
Sighs-, which lets its moanings out when the sea is rough.
Favignana's history is tied with the rise and fall of the Florio family, who established in the Island
a tuna station. And the ancient tradition of mattanza -a complex and ritual way of tuna fishing- can still
be admirated in May.
The Egadi's archipelago comprises the isles of Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo, along
with the two tiny isles of Formica and Maraone.
Shaped like a triangle, Levanzo is smaller than Favignana and Marettimo, having an exstension
of less than six square kilometers and a coastal line of less than fifteen kilometers.
Just a very few people where living in Levanzo at any time, due to the
proximity of Sicily and the lack of water and land resources.
Even the actual village dates back just to 1850: before that time people simply used to lived in the
several coves of the Island.
In the northern side of the Island there is the ''Cove of the Genuan'', a large cove in the rock where
several prehistoric graffiti and paintings can be admirated. Discovered
in 1949, they are characterized by the making accuracy and, for this
reason, by the emotional experience that they offer. Their beauty can be
compared to the famous graffiti paintings of Altamura, Spain.
