I went to negotiate with partners in Astana last summer. Intercontinental - the oldest international network of hotels, but still considered to be one of the best. Situated in the old part of town, this may not be very convenient if you go for, because most businesses, banks and big partners are in the new Astana. But on the other hand, I would not want to live in the new city, I feel uncomfortable among all these modern buildings (one of them - like a big egg on the type of business center in London, there is still some two gilded towers), to same people in the business district is small. The rooms are decorated simply, but they are very clean. In addition to regular cleaning of the hotel are so-called evening rounds - when a certain time hotel employee knocked on the door, just to check in the room whether you or not. It was strange and a bit irritated. Breakfast at the hotel passable, but from the InterContinental was to be expected and more. A few restaurants I tried only Italian, not bad.But prices in the hotel, I tell you! Outrageous, considering both in Astana were cheap.

The InterContinental renovated its rooms. As in the Rixos (where I already spent the night), all rooms equipped with large flat screen televisions and the facility is modernized. If you participate in meetings in one of the ministries on the left bank, you will have to drive 20-25 minutes (even if the financial, the Trade and the Ministry of Culture are still close). There are interesting restaurants, bowling alleys and other facilities, the walking distance are simple, while the Rixos remote is right (especially in winter, when a 15-20-minute walk is cruel). The InterContinental offers wireless high speed Internet in real ( the Rixos has wireless Internet, which is very slow and only works half the time), which is a must for the business traveler. The service at the restaurants (all of whom have Non smoking areas) and at the reception is at the Intercontinental of much higher quality than in Rixos. There is also pizza and other snacks for those who only have a snack room eat like her in. Of the two hotels, I prefer if you workout to do not plan, the Intercontinental with his excellent and plentiful breakfast (with a Non smoking area) and his Highspeed wireless Internet.
