The Resort has embarked on a room upgrade for the Garden Wing. The Phase Two have started on 1 September until February 2012. It involve the remainder of the Garden Wing rooms Lobby and Lobby Lounge. The resort will continue to operate as usual throughout this period and every effort will be made to minimize disturbance to our guests. During this time the Garden Wing pool and Tepi Laut restaurant will undergo preventive maintenance from 1 September to 31 October 2011. Guests will have access to the Ocean Wing pool. Malaysian cuisine will be incorporated into alternative dining venues. Please contact hotel directly for any further information.
Shangri-Las Rasa Ria Resort is located on the beachfront facing the South China Sea amid 400 acres of tropical vegetation and a Nature Reserve. The resort sits on a 2 mile stretch of white sand beach affording guests numerous recreational and relaxation options. It is located 35 minutes from the city. Nearby attractions are the Kota Belud Tamu-Kinabalu National Park-World Heritage Site for Mt Kinabalu and Kiulu River for white water rafting. Sabah features friendly people-rainforest-glorious beaches and stunning wildlife.
Resort facilities include an 18-hole golf course-spa-gym-two outdoor swimming pools-kids pool-water sports-horse riding-ATV safari-and a catamaran for cruises. Other features include five full service restaurants and three bars. Meetings and convention facilities are also available.
There are 325 well-appointed guest rooms in the Garden Wing-most featuring sea views. The Ocean Wing has 90 premier rooms-each with up to 90 square metres of space and a private outdoor bathtub on the terrace. The Ocean Wing has a separate lobby entrance and an exclusive swimming pool. All rooms are equipped with a private balcony or lanai-IDD telephones-central air conditioning-in room safe-high speed internet access-satellite TV-coffee and tea making facilities and hair dryer.
