For the last years the hotel has renovated most of the hotel rooms according to modern standards. Light and cosy rooms are comfortably furnished have a TV set; radio and telephone. We stopped at the hotel Intourist in Veliky Novgorod in the weekend. The first night away as we were told, there is little, but the next day and do not be. Well have to leave. Depart from the hotel we were mentally ready. Standard room got no skill. Requests to view on river spaces, replied: look there. There, in relation to the porter, and was on the River.No such luck. Kind of turned into the road and parked cars outside the hotel. The rooms are small bathroom - the size of a shower cubicle, respectively, in the tiny shower niche sites, even very thin people would be not enough for the body movements. I went to the Intourist in Nizhny twice - in August 2005 and September 2006, on business. Number is somewhere in the order of thousands and a half. The atmosphere in the hotel as in any film of the Soviet period, just nostalgia. Both times the hotel was relatively few people, not the season.Staff at the hotel very nice and friendly, and knows how to solve any issues, such as organizing conferences or business meetings. The restaurant is one of the nicest in the city, while theres never been a lot of people. Russian and European Cuisine. Almost all of the menu available even late at night (which is unusual.) Non ascetic plan, but quite adequate.On the floor is always on duty, which can be asked to leave the food in the fridge, give things to the laundry and so on., For a fee, of course. Bathroom is large and quite decent, just and open shower with no curtain. Surprisingly quiet in the hotel at night, road noise is not audible. When I was not busy, happy to walk around the city, to the Kremlin only 10 minutes.If you are going to rest, then the hotel has a travel agency which organizes tours. I probably will stop at Intourist again, when have to go to the bottom. For comparison, in the hotel Volkhov a little more expensive, but closer to the center and modern. But Id better call in Intourist, save money, and book in advance is not required.	7
