Hostal Rio de Castro since 1967 is a family-run hostel of 2 stars in the center of Barcelona. It opened in August of 1967 and has been completely renewed in 2007. We have 16 double rooms all with bathroom; TV; WIFI for internet access; air conditioning and heating in each room which means we are able to offer personalized service. The hostel is just on the Paral.lel an area with a lot of cultural activities to choose from including theatres and cinemas and only 400m from the Feria de Barcelona or Barcelona Trade Fair which is the most important conference and business center of the city. Our privileged position means you are just a five minute walk from the bus stop where you can go from the Plaza de Espana to the airport or the top of Montjuic to enoy the beautiful views or the Conference Centre of the city and port. Avenida Paral.lel is a lively thoroughfare where you will find a choice of theatres and entertainment in the vicinity. The Hostel is well placed for the main through roads serving the city and is well served by public transport and only a few minutes away from the historic city centre.
